The Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS) are the successors to the older Terminal Server CALs. To access an internal terminal server environment, users or devices require Remote Desktop Services CALs, which can be licensed either by user or by device.

This product provides a Device CAL, meaning the license is granted per device.
